http://www.zeldauniverse.net/articles/the-missing-link/immortal-childhood/ Zelda Universe posted a new article talking about one of the many overarching themes present in the Zelda series: growing up. It's pretty long, but a very good read. It's making me rethink what I've written so far. Also, sorry that I haven't been as active, I trying to finish the script, while dealing with my summer term classes that just started, but I read everything on here. |

I read the article as well- it raised some interesting points. I'm not sure I agree entirely with its assessment of adult!Link in Ocarina. Granted, it was predominantly about Majora's Mask and I get what it was saying, but I *do* think that Link matures into his adult body. And even if he didn't in the game, for the purposes of this movie he has to. |

He matures, but he doesn't completely mature like he does in MM. When he's sent back to live his childhood he's mature enough that he is no longer able to move back to Kokiri Village, because he isn't a child anymore, but neither is he an adult. In OoT, he's only an adult for about a week. Due to the circumstances, he matures very fast in that week, but no one could mature fully. Then again, the maturation in MM is a maturity that most people don't reach in their entire lifes. |

PS Yes, I agree, there would have to be a closure on the maturity for OoT, the movie. |

Also, movie Link will need to eat, sleep, traverse the expanded Hyrle Field on foot and probably pass out several times-- that "week" will end up rather lengthened. |
